$10 Million Meant for Struggling Floridians — Diverted.

On May 20, 2025, the Leon County State Attorney’s Office confirmed a criminal investigation into the Hope Florida Foundation, a nonprofit created under First Lady Casey DeSantis’s initiative. At the heart of the case:

• $10 million from a Medicaid fraud settlement was routed to the foundation

• Funds were funneled through private nonprofits to a political action committee opposing marijuana legalization

• Allegations include money laundering and wire fraud

• The House investigation ended abruptly—leaving key questions unanswered

As law enforcement continues the investigation, Floridians deserve answers.
This initiative was supposed to help our most vulnerable — not bankroll political agendas.

Florida Decides Healthcare - Ballot Petition

Through Florida Decides Healthcare’s ballot initiative, we have the chance to bring life-saving access to healthcare to more than 1.4 million Floridians who currently lack access to affordable coverage. It will take all of us to get this done!
